Shocks on a 928
I had my (high mileage) Boge shocks replaced with Koni single adjustables.....and WOW ! ! what a difference ! !
While the normal-rate damping on the Boge's was good, they were far too stiff in high-speed bump and rebound. The Koni's cure that nicely (set 1/3 turn up from full soft)
Obviously, when replacing shocks or springs, ride height and alignment must be re-set, but it is also good to do corner weights also. When Henry and I discussed setting specs, we compromised a little on the factory specs - as I do mostly street (as in daily driver), we decided on less camber-more caster, and now on the highway the car is rock-solid, and does not jump over every pavement crack.....
In conclusion, if anyone is looking for a GOOD Porsche mechanic in the Indianapolis area, email Henry at hriley@core.com If anyone has further thoughts, please feel free to share...
