996 "euro spec" rs camshaft. anyone use these?
Web Camshafts offers a euro spec RS camshaft for a 996. While the tech people seem knowledgeable, I am unclear if this camshaft is appropriate for a 1999 variocam (non-gt3) motor. It specs out at: Intake .490 lift 243 duration @ .050; exhaust .460 lift and 232 duration @ .050".
I don't know if this is a copy of a gt-3 grind, I just supposed since they referenced "RS". If so, I don't even know if a gt-3 uses variable cam timing.
Has anyone tried any cam profiles on their 996's, other than stock?
