CFD testing and the beginning of track testing has been completed.

CFD:
The car with aero kit makes around 1000lbs of downforce at 120mph. Ride height changes obvious affect overall downforce since the car has a flat underbody panel and rear diffuser.

Track Testing:
The first track outing was very successful minus engine issues on the last day. The testing was done at New Jersey Motorsports Park during GTA on June 15th & 16th. The car placed 3rd in the unlimited rwd class behind 2 cars which are dedicated race cars with a lot more power. Previous (before aero) best time around NJMP was 1:17:xxx. With aero, the first lap off the trailer was 1:15:xxx. The final best lap of the weekend was 1:11:382. The car still has more time in it as changes to suspension spring rates and ride heights are being adjusted. AIM was having issues so we do not have any data from the car that weekend. Had some engine issues on the last day also which is why it hasn't been on the track for more data. We believe the engine issue is solved so more data should be coming soon from the track.







Manufacturing:
We also had to make a change to the ducktail mold for better fitment. It was an error on our end with the 3d print we test fitted.

Thanks for posting all that info!

In practice and on track I think you will find that 1000lbs is a very optimistic figure. We are having a tough time producing any front downforce on this type of car at those speeds. Radiator cooling airflow is a big contributor to that. Looking forward to some on track data.

We will find out soon. The car is equipt with laser ride height sensors now and will be out at the track in a few weeks.

Yes, we have news. We have been testing more and fine-tuning the suspension to match with the new aero loads. We are going to make a new spring change front and rear and we think the car will be 100% there. The car has 3 laser ride heights on it and that is how we track ride heights on all 4 corners. If anybody has laser ride heights and needs help writing the math channels to read all 4 corners, let me know. You only need 3 sensors as it turns the car into a plane (3 points make a plane). To the data from the track, the downforce is correlating well. We are still working on correlating more as it is more difficult as downforce changes with ride height, yaw angles, etc.
