Date codes on the tires, please?

Will the fronts correctly fit an 8" wheel?

I can grab the date codes but they were ordered a few months ago at best. The tire itself isn't an old tire - didn't think anyone would need them lol.

On an 8" wheel they'll be a bit bulgy - probably better suited for an 8.5 or 9" wheel.

You don't want 255 tire on 8" wheel for sure. Barely 245. 235 is ideal.

I think those could almost be crammed on a Cayman.

Anyone know if these would fit a 981 Cayman with 18x8.5 and 18x10 wheels?

For 255 tire rim width of 8.5-10 and for 275 its 9-11 so they'll mount fine. But isn't the 981 stock tire 265/40/19? If you go with 275/35/18 you will have a much smaller diameter (by about 6.5%) than stock.

Width, height and fender clearance are no problems with these sizes on a 981 Cayman w/o the sport suspension option. If you have a 981 with SS, you need to go with 19" tires due to the ride height. On my 981S with SS, I had to use 255/35-19 and 275/35-19 RE-71s.
