I've decided to go with a different helmet. I've not worn this in the car. It's been on my head in a head sock to check for fit and test electronics. It is effectively new - still smells strongly of newness. All accessories and the (super) fancy box.

The only item of note is that when I was testing the electronics, I learned how easy it was to scratch the finish. There is a 1" scratch that the patch cord made right near the IMSA connector. In anticipation of this happening more often, I added a section of xpel clear-bra that will protect from further scratches.
