I need a set of standard (non-supple / non-draped) rear seats in black leather with silver/grey stitching for my 996 Turbo. Looking for nice, ready to use condition. I just need the seat backs and bottoms themselves.

funny----i need a set of the exact same thing: Rear seat base and seat backs NOT supple/draped, with grey stitching. In my case, the original owner had the seats replaced under Porsche seat recall back in 2003/4. The car started out with supple leather but for some reason (that I agree with :-) he got non-supple fronts. So now I need the rears to match.

I wonder, gophaster are you looking for the same reason?

Pretty much but in this case I'm the one swapping the fronts to non-supple. My car was built with supple seats and I recently acquired a set of gorgeous (removed from a 996 Turbo at only 7k miles!) factory painted gloss black 996 sport/hardbacks!!

I have been looking for those front seats pretty much since I bought the car, I thought once I have those fronts the rears would be EASY to find but it hasn't been as easy as I thought The grey stitching is where I seem to be getting hung up.

I'm dying to put the hard backs in but I am holding out for the rears to make it all happen at the same time not giving up hope yet

PS. Is yours a Turbo as well? Out of curiosity do you have silver gauges? and do you have the grey stitching on your dash, door panels, etc.. or just on the seats? Mine has the grey stitching all over. Just wondering if the grey stitching has something to do with one of the other options originally ordered with the car.

Hi gophaster,

Yes, mine is a 2003 turbo. Silver gauges, "full leather" (which is one of the numbered options, but i am not sure if it is fullER than any other turbo?), and "draped" front and rear seats are called out separately on option sticker......I have the grey stitching on the dash, seats, doors, etc.

My solution until I find the perfect set of rear seat pads is simply to leave the seats folded down :-)
