My fresh 996 motor done blowed up. See pic below (looks like a rod gave way and perforated a case half):

Complete 3.6 (m96) motor that had approx. 18 hours on a rebuild (who cares now)
Motorsports AOS
L&N Engineering Deep Sump kit w/ baffles
No power steering components
x51 headers with welded straight pipes. Drivers side not in great shape but utile
Complete race motor dyon'ed at 310bhp (doesn't matter now ). If it hadn't blown up it would be plug and play.
Motor gave way coming out of pits for practice and was immediately shut off. Data shows perfect.

The value here is in the parts. Between the expensive racing peripheries, heads, intake, etc you're way money good, I just don't want to part out. I have not torn it down so have no clue what actually happened/condition of internals.

Motor is in North Hollywood, CA and my shop can facilitate shipping w/ buyer. $3.6k

An individual that did the builds (at the time) for Speed gallery. Not the first motor that had a rod let loose; needless to say this guy is no longer in the picture.

Vision Motorsports did the deep sump install.
