I have one...
This is an incredible digital dash. If your Porsche 911 car is approximately 2002 or later, don't know the exact date, the unit can pull data off the OBD II. This is not practical on my 1997 car so I have had sensors installed.
These units do require that you learn their software, but note that AiM and others, have posted lots of You Tube videos on all aspects of interpreting data. It will amaze you.
The MXL-2 has numerous features such:
-Programmable warning lights for oil and (Heaven forbid) water temperature, oil pressure warnings....
-Programmable shift light array, also customizable across the range of gear RPMs,
-Lap times on the fly,
-Preloaded track maps,
-Predictive timing
-Race Studio software for analyzing your data
-Customizable math channels
I have had a MXL-2 for about 9 months. And note, the knowledge pool for AiM is broad...there will be someone in your area that has a unit and can help you get started.
