I'm selling the mainshaft/1st gear unit from my early 1995 993 transmission. This would be useful to regear 2nd - 6th gear, as 2nd gear is not integral to the mainshaft as in later model years. The changeover happened during the 1995 model year at serial number 02693. The stock 1st gear ratio is 3.818.

Steve Weiner and Jeff Gamroth are currently regearing my transmission and I decided to go with a taller 1st. Upon opening up my gearbox, they noted everything was in remarkably good condition as my car has been gently driven and never tracked or abused (the PO, an older gentleman, was as gentle to the car as I have been). The part in question is in very good condition.

The piece is still in Steve's possession, and he can attest to its condition or answer any questions if you're interested in having his shop perform the regear. Otherwise, he'll ship it directly to you.

These are currently going for around $2400 new, I'm asking $1800.
