did this ever get resolved? i am installing my adaptec spacers next week for the first time and want to make sure that this is only a one-off problem.

They are not flush. About 3-5mm gap.

Late response but Should be taken care of and it's definitely not a common problem. Look at how many people are running the parts without issues.

Yes, absolutely. We send lots of spacers out for dedicated track cars.
