Default Rennsport Flashed 97 993 ECU

Category: Engine - Electrical
Price (no $ sign please): $2500
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part fits (select ONLY those which apply): 993
Location (Region): NorthEast
Item Condition: Used

As you know, ECU's from 1996 993's aren't flashable so I acquired a '97 993 ECU and got a Rennsport/GIAC flash with Immobilizer bypass (includes relay) about 2 years ago. Amazing upgrade to midrange torque and throttle response. Looking to bring the car back to stock.

$2,500

or

$2,000 plus your '96 ECU in good working condition

This is a good deal on a ready to go ECU.

I have a 96 ECU if you need one.

Not sure the point of this question and I'm not looking to get into a pissing match with you either, but what 22 year old OEM part comes with a warranty? On top of that, what aftermarket modification comes with a warranty?

Do you just plug this into a ‘96 and it works?

Correct. Plug in the ECU and replace the relay with a bypass relay (included) to bypass the immobilizer. Super easy.

Some re-flashes typically have reliability problems, i.e. intermittent running.

Gotcha. My car has been running flawlessly for over 2 years.
