+1
Your OEM aero kit wing is NLA and was going for about $3k from Suncoast when it was actually available.
OEM 997 ducktail is also NLA and was available only to anyone without a Sport Classic for a hot second.
Ergo, your trade options are likely only from anyone with an aftermarket ducktail which is worth about half to a third of your wing.
IMO, store your wing and just buy a ducktail. You will likely lose a lot of money when/if you sell the car without the original aerokit wing (assuming it was part of the original build).

Agree with the above, only if your wing is part of the original order (aero package). On the other hand if you bought it after the fact and the wing is not part of the original specs, then it wont matter to a future buyer of your car amd you could sell it for S3-4K...

Agree with tuto993. I have a Misha Design duck tail on my 997.1 and also Getty Design in Santa Ana, CA sells a similar one. The Misha Design one replaces the "pop up" spoiler insert and just need to buy a supplemental factory harness to replace the existing one (approx 90.00 for harness). The Getty Design one has a brake light on top edge but that one replaces the entire rear deck lid and is more expensive of course.

What I would do as well, FWIW. Good luck with the process, it should be fun...

I'm looking to do the same. I have a Vorsteiner V-GT Wing on my Carrera White 997 and I want the Getty Sport Duck. Did you order it yet? How long did they tell you it would take? Did you opt for their primer service and do you think it was worth it? Do you have a paint shop in mind? I'm also in the LA area so I'm looking for recommendations. Hell, if you want to see if some shop will give us a discount for doing 2 at once, let me know

I spoke to Mike today and he explained that their margins were too thin and the process too labor intensive to be able to leverage any savings as part of a group buy. I went ahead and ordered mine at the list rate.

I would have jumped on the group buy as well. Curious if any prep work outside of final sanding will be required if you opt for the optional primer service.
