Beautiful example, had one on my '04 996 GT3. This will also fit a 996 however, you will need the adapter for plug and play. I have the leather covered version available. Bump.

These steering wheels are amazing. I love mine. Why do you say they are no longer available?

Yikes. Looks like @Gert Carnewal did too. I wonder why.

Raid = Atiwe stopped making airbag steering wheels after the manufacturer of the airbags went bankrupt.

These were high quality steering wheels and a great alternative for those that wanted a slightly smaller steering wheel with airbag.

Thank you for the reply, Gert. This means I’m not going to sell my wheel that I was about to sell. It’s so, so much better than the OEM zone.

I apologise for kidnapping this thread, but how adaptable are these wheels to other Porsche models? I have it with a 996 hub (Tiptronic) - how far along can I take it before it’s no longer compatible? 997? 991? Cayenne?

Gert 01-09-2019 11:15 AM

The Raid/Atiwe hub for the 993, 986 and 996 is the same.
Only the hub for the cars with Tiptronic came with extra wires with ground connector to connect the shift wires.

You can fit a Raid steering wheel with shift buttons or paddles in a with manual gearbox.
The 997,991 etc use different hubs

Is it possible to switch hubs and adapt to newer cars? Or does it stop at 996? Do you carry the hubs or who does, these days?

Gert 01-10-2019 05:04 AM

These hubs are no longer produced.

We no longer have these in stock.

with all the peeps commenting .. but none had paid yet .. still for sale

Porschekalle 01-30-2019 01:34 PM

the steering wheel is still
available .. very rare .. can't be bought anymore .. so if you wanted to keep
your airbag and have a smaller steering wheel
installed .. that's your best option
