This is the RS shifter? I thought those had metal bushings.

The GT3RS 997.2 model went to a metal bushing. The 997.1 used the shifter shown.

The shifter in my 08 Cayman S which does not have a short shifter has that exact same shifter according to the part number that is located on the shifter. Surprised this is a GT3RS part. 997-424-010-91 is the part number I've seen for the RS shifter.

The part number you show is for the 997.2 (2010) GT3 RS shifter that I replaced this unit (2007 GT3RS OEM item) with.

The fact remains though that the part number on the shifter pictured is for a standard 987/997 shifter. The short shifter part number is 997 424 983 00. It's odd that this is the case. I came to this thread expecting a short shifter - and it's the same that's in my car.
