Porsche Factory Sport Seats
Details
- These are genuine and original Porsche seats out of my 1991 Porsche 911 (964)
- Both driver (944 521 001 52) and passenger seats are included (944 521 002 52)
- (I'm pretty sure I'm right about the part numbers, but I could be wrong. Let me know if you think I'm wrong.)
- No seat belt receptacles
- Like most Porsche seats, these are by Recaro
- This shape has deeper side and “butt” bolsters than the standard “Comfort Seat” of the era
- Originally fitted to the 944, Porsche also used these in the 930 turbo’s, and were optional equipment on the 3.2 Carrera’s and 964’s
- Color appears to be what Porsche calls "Linen:" they're basically really light gray, or even a "dingy white"
Condition
- Both seats appear to have been covered with a white-ish colored paint / coating (probably to cover up the tired leather underneath)
- I was able to wipe off a portion of the coating, so that’s good
- The underlying leather does not appear to be brand new (obviously)
- There are small-ish little surface cracks here and there, but no big tears
These Seats Are Old
This important:
- These are over 20 years old
- They are not perfect
- You should plan on recovering if you want a perfect seat covering
Shipping
- Most likely some sort of freight shipment, because each seat is large, and each seat weighs ~55 lbs
- I’m also open to a local pickup!
Price
- $3000 plus shipping
- The price seems fair to me, but if you think the price is outrageous or something, hit me up anyways. I'm sure we can work something out.

Those seats are heated, a nice feature if still in good working condition. The surface rust on the seat bracket will come right off with a drill and wire brush - followed by some Rustoleum paint/primer. GLWS

And yes, I agree that the rust is just surface stuff. Should easily come off.

Yes, you are so correct! I think I must've been previously confusing lumbar adjustment and whatever you'd call the adjustment of the seat base up or down. My bad! I'm learning a lot about my seats in this FS thread

Toni:
It looks like everything is still available, could you please give me a call at 760-270-7840.
I have a "89" Carrera with a Linen interior, and I'm interested in the seats, and maybe more.
I live in SoCal, right now in north of LA.
Regards, Richard
