My girlfriend was born in Germany. Her dad was in the service at Zweibrucken Airbase, and him and his wife lived there starting in 1957. Being in a car guy, he bought a used 1952 red 356 almost immediately and started doing rallies with his wife as navigator. Sometime then, he obtained the Nurburgring badges shown. He then sold the 356 and went to England and bought a new Austin Healey 100.

After my girlfriend was born, they returned to the US in 1961. They returned to Germany in 1963, where he was contemplating buying a 300SL; unfortunately, he didn't. Eventually, they returned back to the US.
So, my GF's mother was cleaning out her laundry room closet last month, and found the badges wrapped in a paper towels.
Here is his car... a 52, I was told buy the 356 gurus. His wife and German shepherd (Jingles) are looking out the window. The other photo is somewhere in the country near there.

The badge date back to 1957/1958.
Asking $550 / OBO shipped plus PayPal fees.
