/s JUST SERVICED! MOTON Club Sport Dampers Complete Kit w/ Springs & Monoball Mounts

7 Attachment(s)
Up for sale is a set of Moton Club Sport dampers w/ remote mount reservoirs for a Porsche 997. These shocks came off my 2007 997s. They were on the car for about 3 track days and some street driving. After I took them off the car I sent them out to Moton USA and had them freshened up and inspected. for $1150.00. They have just came back to me and unfortunately I'm listing them for sale because while they were taken off my car I was hit on the street and the car is now totaled. As you can see in the pictures they are in great cosmetic shape and are in excellent mechanical shape. I will include the receipt from Moton with the shocks. It is dated 5/1/12. I'm asking 4000.00 + shipping for everything listed below. Front shocks have quick disconnect hoses, the rears do not. All of them are still packaged from Moton since I just got them back

- 2 rear Club Sport shocks
- 2 front Club Sport shocks
- 4 Porsche Monoball Mounts (996.333.591.9R, 997.343.181.1R, 996.343.181.9R)
- 2 Eibach 5" x 2.25" x 850lb springs
- 2 Eibach 5" x 2.25" x 700lb springs
- 4 Eibach tender springs w/ floating spring seats (42/07 ERS 175-225-150)
- 2 front aluminum spacer sleeve collars to allow fitment to multiple Porsche wheel carriers
- All required nuts, monoball bushings, adjustable spring collars, and spacers, spring hats
- 2 suction cup mounts for shock canisters
- All adjuster knobs included.

I'm a new member on here, and honestly the only reason i joined was to get rid of a few Porsche parts i have in the garage. Don't be hesitant on working with me, I have alot of references in the motorsports world and I will do whatever is necessary to ensure a honest deal and satisfied buyer.. Feel free to pm and I will be more than happy to discuss anything via email or telephone if needed.

Thanks!!

Great stuff for trackrats! Truth is, most people who buy this will be on a GT3 requiring different springs and possibly different damper rates. Figure another $1-2k ish to accomplish that and this will be a dream cometrue for DE Cup contestants :)

These shocks are great for anyone with a 997 who spends some time at the track. "Damper rates" (or shock valving) is ideal for any 997 and with the adjustments and can pressure you can tune them to suit almost any driving style and track. Spring rates can be debated about forever. These rates are "in the window" but can always be changed for a small cost

If anybody is interested give me some feedback and I will work with you...

Is nobody out there interested in a set of Motons?????

Curious why you had to get them freshend up after such a short period of time? I suspect my Pasm shocks are blown, and if my shop confirms I may be interested.

Sorry for the delay...I had them freshened in hopes that i would be able to sell them easier for a higher price. I know the guys at AST and Moton pretty well through Grand-American, so I wanted to be sure they were all good to go before I tried to sell them. The way things are going, I probably should have just tried to sell them as is before i spent the 1k to have them gone through

I have had my Moton 3 Way for three seasons and they are in great condition. Intend to rebuild next winter. Also bought them used with about the use you describe. At least these are almost as new which is nice to know.:burnout:

Pardon my ignorance

3 noob questions.
Will these fit a 996 turbo, specifically an 03?
If so, onto Q2 & 3....
Are these too harsh for DD? I don't want to drive a brick!
What is ride ht adjustment range?

fsu997 05-27-2012 11:09 AM

I think they will fir a turbo, but I cant say for sure. Ride height is adjustable for anything you want to run. The entire shock body is threaded for the perch. As for ride quality, that setup is probably a little stiff for the street but you can ger new main springs for about $250 or so and get any kind of ride you want. These shocks are very adjustable for ride quality and height (as all coil-over shovks usually are)

Questions...

Any thoughts on what the cost of installation might look like?

Also, where/how is the reservoir typically mounted?

Thanks.

Installation should be anywhere from 4-6 hours depending on the shop. As for can mounting, if you have a cage you can out the rears on it, if not you can use the suction cup mounts (included) to mount them on the inside of the windows. There are also lots of different types of mounts out there that will allow you to mount them almost anywhere. As for the front, I had them mounted across from where the factory navigation module is. They were hidden from plain sight but still very accessible for can pressure changes and adjustments
