If it’s too good to be true... member jkwino
It’s probably because it’s a SCAM! :) Member jkwino account has been hacked. i received a message from jkwino telling me he had some seats for sale and to email him. turns out he sends me pictures from this thread (gotta love google search by image function) for both seats, shipped, for $850. Sounds pretty good right? https://rennlist.com/forums/parts-ma...ion-seats.html the scam email is justine.wines1@gmail.com i PM an admin to confirm if jkwino account had been hacked but no reply. So I went with my gut feeling. stay safe, andre |
Damn been emailing jkwino about a set of champion wheels.................
|
Wow! I got a message from the same account asking me to email him about wheels. I emailed him and never heard back.

Have a WTB for a 997.2 C4S. He sent me a scammy sounding email. Never heard anything back.
|
Received an email back from the scammer offering me OZ's with NT01's with pics copied from this 2-3 year old FS ad:https://rennlist.com/forums/parts-ma...t01-tires.html
I wish it was a real offer and not a low life scammer, because OZ with NT01 for cheap sounds pretty good! |

I wish it was a real offer and not a low life scammer, because OZ with NT01 for cheap sounds pretty good! and someone on Pelican got scammed the same way with some 964RS seats for $9k!!! |
The thing I don't get is how the scammer keeps the money. If you use paypal without going friends/family, you could just charge back once you didn't receive goods, right? So what's the end game for the scammer?
|
He tried to scam me a few days ago. I was looking for a 997 part and he sent me pics of a 993 part. I never messaged me again.

“hey man, so how do scams like this work? If I PayPal you money can’t PayPal get my money back once I don’t receive the seats? Do you open a PayPal account like every month? or you ask for a wire payment? im just curious. “ :) |

yeah, i got the same thing - looks like they found a dead account (if you check the wino account, last post was two years ago) and dead email, get the email under their name and hacked away. they are trolling the wtb accounts; i have a 'wtb 986 or 996 roller' post, and got pm - ' i have the 986 or 996 roller you are looking for'. obvious scam. i immediately reported it but no action.
odd; admins are quick to step on anyone who comments (read: calls-out questionable actions) in the for sale posts, but don't act on fraudulent hackers. often wonder who's side they are on. |
Same here for GT2 wheels
|
PM'd me as well , asked me to email him at wino email address and they were to send photos of my WTB .2RS exhaust tips.
|
Same here.. He pm'd saying he had the seat I was looking for, didn't pass the sniff test especially since the real/original acct. holder hadn't posted in a couple years so I wrote back asking for photos etc. Never heard back. The next day was going to report it but saw his profile was banned already.

Thanks for putting it out there to warm everyone OP |
