Default Production Delay At Leipzig

Has anyone heard anything about a major production delay in the Panamera line?

You should just ask the dealer directly...

He is hopefully going to find out tomorrow. I just someone on this forum might have some information. It's hard waiting.

sorry Lefty. I have no knowledge of a delay. if there is one I hope it's not too long as it was hard for me to have to wait so long for my car! the biggest problem in the 4 e-hybrid delay was the lack of information and updates from Porsche. if they communicated the delays and issues better then I wouldn't have been so grumpy about it all.

Well my SA got back to me tonight. It turns out there is in fact a significant delay for all MY 2018 Panamera e-Hybrids. The exact quote he received which was dated 6/29 reads "Early MY2018 Panamera 4 E-Hybrid production has been delayed. Units will not complete production before the last week of July. Unfortunately completion dates in the system earlier than the last week in July are incorrect and can not be amended to the correct date until further in the production process." So although my car actually entered the Body Shop on June 25th, it will actually not be completed until sometime in September. Not sure what I can do at this point??

Well, in the UK, I demanded free loaners for a number of weekends, and pretty much threw my toys out of the pram every week (not sure this helped much but did manage to get the charging cable in the end...).

Alternatively, I found that occasionally crying helped or talking to you guys

same as AJ....i got a loaner when required but not much else apart from apologies. it's not the dealer's fault though so i can't blame them.

i only hope that Porsche are better at the communications than they were for me. i just got loads of "no news or updates from Porsche" from my dealership.

i hope it's not delayed too much for you but i can let you know that it's worth it when it finally arrives!

I still have not received any information from either PCNA or my dealer as to why all 2018 Panamera E-Hybrid production was stopped in Leipzig on 6/29?? Does anybody on this forum have any idea what the problem is? My dealer says Porsche generally will not release any details because they are nervous it will show up on a forum like this one. Not sure why that should bother them???

asked my Dealer again, who is in principal quite open to me!

They asked again the general importeur, and Art least on my built (august After plant shut-down) there is currently no delay marked in the system!

Fingers crossed;-)

i wonder if this delay has anything to do with our "Inspection Required" notification coming on? Porsche are working on a fix for this issue so it might be that they don't want to release the newly built cars until that fix is in place? it's just a guess on my behalf and i have no evidence this is correct but our cars were delayed waiting for a software fix so it won't be the first time they've done that.
