Agreed. Maybe the situation in the US is different. (Here in the UK, PEC = Porsche Experience Centre at Silverstone racing circuit. OPC = Official Porsche Centre or dealership.)
I have now bought three Porsches (two brand new and one pre-owned). In every case, it was not necessary to pay for the car until collection.
I think we need to agree that there may well be different ways of doing things between the UK and the US. In addition, procedures can vary from one dealership to another (both in the UK and in the US).
