Default Real Time Traffic in 2017 Panamera?

Hello...

Just picked up my 2017 Panamera 4S.....traded a 2015 GTS in for it....very much enjoying it....its just better everywhere.....

Question...cannot get my real time traffic to work on my navigation screens...have the siriusXM activated...even my free trial of hotspot / 3G etc....

even my dealer is stumped....anyone else have a 2017 Panamera that can tell me if their real time traffic works or not?

thank you.....

I have a 2017 4S and the traffic function works as advertised. You do have to select it from the "layers" menu that drops down from the top of the screen, however. Are you doing that?

Default figured it out

Yes thank you...just figured it out after extensive digging...you have to go to navigation, then traffic...then find the drop down menu and select online traffic...even my SA (which was awesome) was stumped.....

no regrets----although yes I would admit the engine in the GTS is a thing a beauty---but the new car is just so much better everywhere else, ride, comfort, gadgets etc...plus the turbo engine with its torque everywhere just feels (and probably is) faster.....

Sorry, but this didn't work for me. There is no "Online Traffic" option in the drop down menu for Traffic. Does anybody else have this problem? Without traffic, the navigation system is useless to me. Back to Waze....

Frank, I think we both bought our cars from the same dealer on the same week, and this was never explained, or set up correctly either (I don't think it was their fault as the cars were so new) . I had issues as well then got it to work by doing the following:

1) Learned that Sirius Traffic doesn't work with this NAV system
2) You need to log in, set up an account and then active the AT&T mobile data
3) Make sure your PCM is active and linked to your car.

Then you do the steps above it should work. Good luck

Do you really need a separate "data plan" for this or you can just connect the PCM to your mobile phone via the hotspot?

One question, are you happy giving up the NA V8? No ragrets? (Even one letter)
If that limited edition car was that good, do you think they would be trying to give it away?

Thanks! This is very helpful. The only step I was missing is to activate the ATT Mobile Data. I simply assumed it had already been done. Will give it a try. Thanks!

I believe there is an option to connect through the hotspot on your personal mobile phone.

To connect through the hotspot on your personal mobile phone, you just remove the SIM card in the glovebox, find your found as the hotspot via the PCM and you are good to go. As long as the SIM is inserted, however, it will only connect using the built-in connection (activated or not).

Many thanks for that information. Very helpful.

I was able to get it to work by either removing the sim card and connecting through a mobile hot spot or by activating the Sim Card. Problem solved.
