Compared to my 2015:
Don't like the lips on bottom of front and rear bumpers
The clock pod on top of the dash is horrible, current integration is MUCH better. It looks aftermarket. Truthfully this pod could be a deal breaker for me......
Shifter ****

Dash and interior look nice, a bit too much aluminum trim on the demo car shown here.
Wheels aren't very interesting

Wish Porsche went to superchargers

Hopefully in person it will be better.

+ "a million times".
The designer that made such design should most probably one of these that wear his pant with the butt at the height of the knees !
(And just have no understanding of what the word "elegance" means.)

How come Porsche can let go out in prod such horrible things ???????

I currently have a Macan S loaner, ..and it is also equipped with such absolutely horrible "clock" !
..It would even look bad in a Pinto !!!

Also, for me, the replacement of the REAL buttons on the console against trying to put your finger about at the right place on a piece of "glass" is COMPLETELY ABSURD. The journalists/tester that made such comments on the current Panamera are typical example of A.H. of a very high level size.

And about the washing machine buttons, to select and point functions, imo this is as dangerous as texting while driving.
The day an accident will occurs because of that, I'm ready to take ANY bet, that the manufacturer that did implement such user interface ..will have more tons of chance to loose, ..compared to a known case of the family of a passenger that lost is life from dangerous driving, this, with an very well designed sport car ..that had tires 9 years old !!

Should say that I own a Panamera 4S since more than 3 years, and feels that this is the BEST car I ever had (i.e.: in the past, beside 30 years non stop of 911, I had also 2 x BMW 7).

I was told at a showing of the 2017 in Monterey that the Panorama Roof is standard on all US models.

I don't mind the look on dark colors, but I think it spoils the look of the car in light colors.
And the glass extending over the roof is odd, but I guess necessary.

My understanding is that you can't even special order it without.
I'd really like one without it.

Anyone heard differently about this option?

I heard same thing. Personally I like it.

In both my 2010 and 2014 Gen I Panamera Turbos, the clock pod was an annoying visual distraction around dusk. The reflection off the windshield of the chrome ring can be confused for all sorts of important objects and negatively affects my driving experience.

Having a less reflective clock pod is a major win IMHO.

I had a lot of the same thoughts. The dash wart is awful. I like the buttons for light function compared to the ****. I think more of the functions should be incorporated into buttons on PCM screen and less physical buttons on console. That's an awful lot of functions and buttons on the steering wheel. I really like the digital gauges and like that they left tach analog. Don't like roof that opens to the outside. Had to go open mine to make sure it didn't do the same. I had never opened it before! Wouldn't have noticed how door handle looks integrated with trim. Thanks for calling that out. Second cup holder? Wow. My eye is drawn to the chrome ring around the single cup holder in my car when I look inside. I wish that chrome ring wasn't there.

I will reserve judgement on the Sport Chrono clock housing and the full glass sunroof on light colored cars as well as the front and rear bumper treatment. Porsche does not change controls or anything else for that matter without thorough testing, so my expectation is that the functionality of the new controls, including the hooded dash clock will all be improvements over the current model. As to exterior design, my expectation is that the F&R fascia treatments are for functional reasons as well as appearance. The Porsche mantra is that form follows function and I have yet to drive one where that has not been true.
FWIW, a quick youtube search on the new model is productive.

Talking if you don'f like the looks don't order the sports chrono option!

IMO it doesn't look good in any porsche model!

I think it has a little less. They had to move the seats forward because of the new roofline.

I guess function follows form in regards to the back seat. Apparently the rear seat was not a priority for their focus groups.

Yes, they are going to offer an "Executive" long wheelbase version. Not sure if they are bringing it to the US. My dealer was in Leipzig for the dealers' Panamera launch event a few weeks ago and he had a picture of a long wheelbase Turbo.

my 15 wart looks so much more set in than the new one. Don t like the new clock and really don t like the glass button type set ups.
As someone stated the rear seat foot area looks smaller.
Outside styling looks great IMO.
