Default Anyone have problems after upgrading to new iPhone 7?

Music now plays through my phone when it's plugged in to the USB port instead of through the speakers.

Car: 2011 Panamera.
Phone: iPhone 7

Any ideas?? Can I update the PCM software at home?

I don't have a USB port in my car, so I can't answer you directly, but you should probably specify the iOS version you have as that is an important factor here. I assume it's 10.0.1, but as time goes by, not everyone with an iphone 7 will have 10.0.1 installed.

I have a 2014 Cayenne Diesel and did update PCM software. When I got the iPhone 7 the PCM would not receive emails or texts. I did some digging and found that if you go to Settings, Blue Tooth and hit the i next to PCM and turn on Show Notifications, that the Texts did notify and show up on the PCM. As of yet the emails do not. Anyone have any thoughts on emails?

also important to know what phone the OP upgraded from -- believe the lightning connector used on the iphone 5 and newer no longer passes analog audio through the usb. My iphone 7 interfaces with our 2015 panamera gts interface via bluetooth without problem/issue, but I've never attempted to have it communicate with the PCM via usb

My iPhone 5s works fine over USB/Lightning in my 2009 Carrera S, I can adjust the volume and go forward and backward in the playlist - in the info tab I could see the song and artist. With my iPhone 7 the audio works but I have no control of any phone features - so I'd say it is hard broke for the older PCM systems

I have the same issue with my 09 C2S and the iPhone 7. Did anyone find a fix for this?

I did find and answer just 2 weeks ago, you must have at least one song in your iTunes, I had been using Amazon Prime for my music and when I updated to the 7 I did not move any iTunes music over. I put a single song in my iTunes and now everything works :-)
