Rear quarter roofline much better than current, although overall not as edgy. Rear now has definite 911 cues. Evolutionary, which is no surprise. Probably still not enough change to persuade S Class and 7 Series buyers to switch. Big changes, as pointed out in an earlier post, will be new platform and weight. Dimensions may change as well a bit. Interior may be radically changed, but likely just control setup and new PCM, but current is fine with me. Probably a GTS version two years or so out with what I believe will be a new NA engine. The revolution will arrive with the Mission E.

Long time, no post !
Just back from Europe, to enjoy again the incredible quality of Grand Tourer of the Panamera.
About 1200 miles, SFO to L.A. and then a return via the Mojave desert, such a lovely place to drive through.

Some would say, ..that I should better buy a Dune Buggy !

But, I can tell you that on such “roads” the Panamera is MUCH MORE comfy than the Cayenne !

Well, let’s say that we spend most of the time on asphalt :

I just love crossing field of Joshua trees :

The roads in the Mojave desert are beautiful, a real pleasure cruising on these with a Panamera:

About Dune Buggy :
..Again : Panamera in the sand, (I love driving in the sand !!!)

This is not Pismo Beach, ..but this is San Francisco yesterday, on the US 1 (Great Hwy, near the S.F. zoo). A lot of wind, and the sand came up to play with the highway :

Not the day nor the place to cruise around with a car that would have a Colombo engine and no air filter !!

Just traded my 2009 911 6 speed for a 2015 Panamera. Love the PDK, love the smooth ride and handling. Best seat s I ve ever had!

A funny photo, pure random effect (no Porsche event !), on this afternoon, or ..happy Father’s day, on the freeway (or to all of you here) :

if you look closer :
..you can see a 928, a 986, a 918 and a 911,
all of these thought the window of my Panamera !

No, nothing from an event, being on the road that day, I'm convinced, as I was observing the traffic before these P cars made this group, that it happen one after each other, over miles, first on the 101 North, then on the 85, and then on the 280 (direction San Francisco) and it was a pure random effect !

Finally a great news from Porsche :
Read this tweet :
“It takes courage to break a record. Be prepared for the fastest luxury sedan on earth. #Panamera”
Announcement : June 28th at 6.10 CET

In my opinion, this is finally the logical path, since Mr. Piësch “left” VW group, where he was trying since Porsche become part of the group, by all his power to "emasculate" Porsche in the profit of Audi ! (i.e.: see current Audi S8Plus v.s. Panarama Turbo S)

Shall we think that thanks to the MLB platform, ..we will get a 928 Revival ???

..As this one is really a SWB Panamera !

Just realized that I have 40,000 miles of Panamera driving now.
I continue to think that this car is BY FAR, the best car we ever had.

I put ~65,000 on my 2010 Panamera Turbo and now have 53,000 on my 2014 Panamera Turbo.

These cars are so capable and comfortable that there's no going back to BMW/Mercedes 4-doors for me.

@W8MM : This is so true.

Never had a Mercos, but had in the past two BMW "7", just nothing to compare !
Currently also have a (10k very uncomfy miles) Cayenne Turbo after 110k miles on a (very comfy) Cayenne S (with air susp.). The CTT is not comfy at all, but such a great towing machine !

(..You make me dreaming with your "now gone", ..i.e.: the 962.
Fyi, my track car is a ..Boxster S
