Default Painted Side Markers

Has anyone considered (or done) painting their front side markers? Unlike the 991, on which I believe they continue to be a "pop out" replacement item, it looks to me like the Panny GTS' markers are an embedded part of the front R and L quarter panels. My salesperson said that he has previously seen a few clients that have had them "painted" over to match the exterior and that it looked quite good. Curious as to some real life examples, if they exist. Much thanks

I'd just have them wrapped if anything and not painted.

I dont think they stand out much on the Platinum Silver. I had them swapped on my 991, but I havn't even really looked at them on my PLatSilver GTS

I got mine done my Eric at Bumperplugs. They came out great, except that the light was too visible through the paint for my taste. I painted the bulbs black, and that worked out better.

Here's a picture, the color match was really perfect.

So, how'd that work exactly? the lights still function, but like black out shades in a room, they are simply impossible to see though the paint? Also, how'd you drive the car while Eric had the markers? you just tape over the holes?

Those little bulbs are bright enough that you will still see them through the paint. Painting the bulbs black helped a lot with that.

Eric sends you complete painted markers. You send yours back afterwards for the core charge return. I actually kept my stock ones just in case.

Ahhh...makes sense well, car looks awesome, so I will certainly investigate that option.

She's so special, and so ridiculously perfect what we wanted in a family car. It's so adeptly strung that I just can't see us replacing it with anything other than the next PGTS. I can't see us going back to Mercedes certainly. This car has that special edge to it that is just so addictive. You're driving along in a perfectly comfortable luxury car and then you take the next turn and you're like "whoa now, that's not just a luxury car!" I think you will absolutely adore yours. It is a no excuses full on sports car. And a no excuses, full on, luxury car.

Even my wife is a Porschephile now after probably just 600-800 miles behind the wheel. She actually is asking about getting a Cayman as her DD! She finally gets it.

That is very exciting to hear P-car....I am happy for you guys! ironically, my wife's DD is a '11 S550...so, while she loves that car for sure, she also loves her some porsches, and can wheel a manual with the best of them. So, while this Panny is mine, I am sure that she will want to take it out with the girls every now and then.

Anyway, any snow on the ground yet this year? If so, how's the awd? 79 and sunny yesterday here in FL...so, enjoyed the final months of the M3 convertible...top down all day. Now, if only the Panamera came in a 'vert...

So,did you lease or buy yours? I am leasing mine, as you know, but really believe that for the first time ever, this will likely be a car that I wished I bought.

Also, pcar, recalled you mentioned RoW asph/2section mirrors in a prior post. I included the LCA on my car, but did not recall seeing this option on the computer What is it?

My car is black and I painted them with Niteshades spray tint.

They now look perfectly black, but still glow when the lights are on.
