Drove car to breakfast and came back to find warning " suspension extremely low" and then "chassis failure" in red. Drove car back home 10 miles and then called Porsche.

I see..no potholes involved.
Most likely it's a fault in the height level control control unit of the (PASM) from :
the main control module
or
the vent solenoid valve
the valve of the spring strut
the compressor
an acceleration sensor in the front axle or rear axle
the PSM control module
the brake pressure control module
the steering wheel electronics control module
the vehicle speed control module
the DME control module
It will be an easy fix and covered by warranty.

sounds like a leak probably in the air susp.
the new air susp is a closed system meaning the air leaving the struts goes into a tank and then goes back from tank into the struts... that way it can "raise" on the fly, versus having to kick on the compressor for every change....
so technically if their was even a small leak, the compressor could never build enough pressure to even budge the system..
should be an easy fix, hopefully nothing was damaged in the 10 miles.. given the stops on the system it should be fine.

I had the same, exact thing happen in a Mercedes GL450 with the air-suspension option. The Mercedes dealer replaced a leaking strut assembly and all was fine ever after.

I'm sure many of you have seen mid 90s Lincoln Mark VIII after the air bag suspension has failed. For the folks driving those cars it is usually far too expensive to fix and certainly not worth it on a POS like the Mark VIII.
I chuckle every time I see one, which isn't very often anymore.
I'll take a tradtional suspension thanks....

The early E class (03) did that with air suspension. Hope it's not a trend..

Wait, you got your car lowered for free and you're not happy?? What's wrong with people these days!
My Audi allroad did that. Leaky air springs. A well known problem. Happened on several occasions and eventually the compressor failed as well. All fixed under warranty but I'm not buying another car with air suspension. Or if I do, I'll switch to coilovers immediately.
