Honda Panaccord
Honda builds Panaxxxx
http://automobiles.honda.com/accord-.../exterior.aspx
http://automobiles.honda.com/accord-...fications.aspx
http://www.porsche.com/usa/models/pa...turesandspecs/
Wheelbase, Honda is 110.1, Porsche is 114.9.
Length, 196.8, 195.6
Width, 74.7, 76.0
Height, 65.7, 55.8
Weight, 3852, 3968 (2WD)
Weight, 4070, 4101 (4WD)
Weight, 29,670 , 89,800 (wallet)
So the Porsche has the more luxurious wheelbase and it's wider, but lower.
The weights are always a bit variable and of course the Turbo is hefty, but overall, the Porsche looks to be about the same weight for such cars.
Given the level of engineering Porsche has invested in the Panabulger, they've come with 150lbs of the Honda. Both are hefty rides, but that's impressive.
Of course, the price also reflects their very different upbringings. The entry level Porsche is three times the price of the Honda and double the price of the most expensive, fully loaded Honda.

Motorweek just did a segment on the new Honda "Panaccord" (Crosstour) this past weekend, and I have to say I quite liked it. Sadly to say, despite the visual similarities, I think the Honda manages to look better than the Panamera.

I've resisted making the comparison with the X6 since it's smaller, much more vertical and generally fits no comparison. It's an absurd car that will surely not see a second model in production.
By the way, the the XFR is $50K for 300hp and $80K for 510 hp loaded and supercharged (barely entry price for the PanaSplenda S) so we can be sure that Porsche will accelerate plans to bring a base model to market at $50K where the S should have been in the beginning.
sidenote: I tried to post a reference to the XFR, but Rennlist has become so slow and so error prone, it's time -- after being here since the beginning in the late 90's -- to give up and go "elsewhere."
