Default 2013 Panamera Door Top Panel Lift / Separation

Hello:

This is my first post to this forum, so I'm hoping this is the proper process to receive support.

2013 Panamera. The top plastic panel on passenger side door appears to have released upwards from its "clips". Window and door lock still operates normally thankfully.

This has resulted in significant separation of top of door panel that is visible from outside of car looking in.

Dealer in Delaware of course wants to replace entire door panel for $2K

Please help me diagnose and repair this issue, or provide guidance to present to an individual mechanic to resolve, without the need to hit the NJ lottery.

Many thanks to all.

James

Reference to remove door panel - I've done this and the parts do pop off with some pressure so don't be too timid. I will say that the driver/passenger memory switch connector on the panel may be hard to separate. There ISN'T any locking mechanism like many electrical connectors - just friction. I had to gently hold the bottom with pliers and pry up the top with needle nose to separate the connector

Reference "Body & Frame" guide page 1562 to see if fasteners are in place

Reference your Panamera interior "color" scheme should you decide to replace the entire panel. You can do this w/o the dealer cost. Note the link below is for Panamera S, so may need to backup and select your exact model.

I will include some pictures later today...

When I removed my rear door panel it was one piece and the panel is held in place by screws and clips, but you can't unclip it until the screws are removed, hence my request for pictures to make sure we are all talking about the same thing.
if it is the door panel then is sounds like it is broken based on my experience with the rear panel (tho mine is leather not plastic)

but as smithsor pointed out they are fairly easy to remove, just a couple of tricky bits.
