Question CLOCK TIME ERROR

I am having a problem with the time on the clock on my 2018 971. Every few weeks the time shown on the clock is off by a few hours. I reset the time and the correct time is shown for a few weeks but then I start the car and the time is incorrect. IS anyone else having a problem with the clock?

I'm guessing that Porsche clocks run on a quartz-type movement; and when ignition is off the clock remains powered vis-a-vie internal capacitors. Alternately, the clock receives power from the car's battery whenever ignition is off. I use the term "ignition off" to mean the key is removed from the car.
Typical "fix" for this problem is to replace the clock (at your nickel), and is a good remedy, if the car is under warranty. Capacitors can be replaced, but finding a clock smith who can do this may be a problem.

Slow down there, partner!

You are compressing the time & space equilibrium.

Check this part number: 95864150115 on Google. MSRP on this clock is $600+; and you can find the clock on eBay.

992s should start showing up soon. Seems like a good excuse to swig in. Can’t wait for my dealer track day in September to judge for myself if 992 is G2G or hard pass. Let us know how the time warp works out. Seems like an easy fix.
