Default Alignment on Newer 971 Panamera

Has anyone done an alignment on a newer 971 with Innodrive yet? Mine was at dealer last week and at 18 months old the steering wheel is a little off center and pulls slightly so I asked them to look at it - apparently due to all the cameras (which need to be re-calibrated) an alignment is about $2000 which is nuts to me and obviously has to be done at dealer. Every car is going to need it eventually and to have to spend that kind of money for a routine maintenance item doesn't seem logical - had the dealer told me this when I ordered the car I would have skipped Innodrive, I've never used it once! Sorry for the rant, but I am looking for feedback from anyone who has had it done. Thanks

Here are the factory spec alignments for the 4s. I don't see the rational why Innodrive would have anything to do with the alignment. .

None of this addresses the re-calibration of all the cameras/sensors associated with Inno Drive - that seems to be the headache and the thing that excludes independent shops from doing it

Find out what happens if the innodrive isnt properly calibrated. Since you don’t use it, misalignment may not matter. Then use a non-dealer alignment shop.

My 17 971 alignment with the auto steering cost about $900 from what I remember 2 months ago. I was surprised then. $2000 would floor me. My next car won’t have this as in ever use it either.

Hi,

had the dealer quote me 1,800 and said the same thing about recalibration. I literally grinded him to get him to do it under 1k.

ended being covered by warranty as my front camera went out and fuse in wiring harness burned out on its own. So he said they had to do the alignment anyway and it was covered.

my car is an 18 pan turbo

Ok, if the alignment goes bad, pull the fuse, run some current through the fuse to pop it, put it back in, play dumb. Roger.
