Default Safety Recall - Electronic power steering

Did i miss someone posting this already?
Received a safety recall for all 2017/2018 Panamera vehicles for re-programming control unit for electronic power steering.

"Due to a possible software failure, the electronic power steering assist might become intermittently unavailable.
If this occurs and the electronic power steering assistance is temporarily disabled, a stronger than normal force could be
required in order to turn the steering wheel. In certain traffic situations, this could increase the risk of a crash."

I haven't gotten any recall information by postal mail or by email, but when I went to the USA's NHTSA website (https://www.nhtsa.gov/recalls) and plugged in my VIN, I got this:

Plugged in my 2018 PTT ST and show zero recalls. My guess is that it was done prior to my taking delivery.

yeah, dealer told me they couldn't sell any end of last year until they were all updated.

Heh. It’s funny. I’d asked them to make sure that any/all recalls and software updates were performed prior to delivery, and though they assured me that they had, there’s always that sense that you never really know. Kind of gratifying to know that they did.

Recall notice for this showed up on my Car Connect app, and through the myporsche.com portal. Had recall service done. Haven’t noticed anything different.

You know I am experiencing this in my 2016 Cayenne e-hybrid. Steering is starting to literally hurt my shoulder, and I am a big guy! I wonder if its across the board for hybrids?

I just plugged my 16 SEH into the tool and have 0 recalls associated. So mine must not be impacted (at least not yet).

My understanding is that this is for the new-generation Panameras (2017- )...

Someone must have cross posted on the Cayenne forum and I responded to the one here somehow.

It was me that cross posted. I have the same condition, but I guess this is only for the new Panameras. So go figure.
