has any of you had that experience? My 2015 Porsche Panamera engine is blown just after 33k miles. I was told by Porsche to pay them to tell me what went wrong and after I agreed to pay, they told me they couldn’t do it anymore due to timing. I had another mechanic looked at it and he told me that “ upon inspection found large amount of oil on rock panel, found pieces of block loose and can see connecting rod through hole on right side of block.”
full disclosure: that happened 90 days after the warranty has expired. I’m extremely disappointed in Porsche.

Any one in the the same boat or can any of you offer any advice.

I'm unaware of any other Panamera engines that have blown up like yours apparently did. The original 996's had IMS/RMS issues that could lead to catastrophic failure, but this is the first I've heard of a V8 going bad (assuming yours is a V8). Are you the original owner and know the complete maintenance history of your car?

When you say "Porsche" are you referring to your local dealer ? and if so escalate the issue to Porsche America they have a 1-800 #

yeah, the local dealer isn't "Porsche" they are independent and only after the almighty dollar

Porsche tried to get rid of them in the '80's, naturally they threatened to sue/sued Porsche and stopped that from happening

Did you get a pre purchase inspection (PPI)?

What's the maintenance history on the car? How many owners? Accidents? Tuning?

From what you describe, short of running out of oil, or overboosting a motor, they typically don't just catastrophically fail. Porsche, even less so. The Panamera, even less yet. That doesn't mean they are perfect, no car is perfect; however, I have read zero stories like this.

The craziest is the fact Hennessy Porsche where I took the car after the failure asked me to pay to investigate the cause of the failure. Naturally, I asked to let me think about it because I didn't want to pay Porsche to investigate itself. After a week I reached out and agree to pay them and they told me no they were no longer have the time to move forward. They proceeded by saying the car is out of warranty since it was 2015 purchase in late 2014 there wasn't anything they could do. The car had 4 years 50k miles warranty.

My biggest issue is the fact that I don't even know why that happened.

This must be a fake post... Who owns a Panamera and calls it a Panamerica? Akv doesn't apparently want to answer questions such as whether he bought the car new in 2014 or not, or what version of Panamera it is...

If you bought the car from a Porsche dealership, it should have a CPO warranty that goes well beyond 4 years and 50k miles.

Thanks for the suggestion, but my friend got it from Porsche New and I got it from him at 14k miles because he has a collection of cars and wasn't using it that much.

I know it’s its too late now sorry to hear what happened but I guess the rest of us should buy extended warrantee if our warrantee is running out

I would have salvage net work find a engine for you . This would make your car not have matching engine numbers but may be the most cost effective.
