Been in the Audi brand for many years now but it's time to move on.
I was hoping Audi would bring over their RS6 wagon at some point, and while it sounds like it might just happen, not for a few more years so...
Picking it up next weekend. Very excited to start up with the Porsche brand.
I've been down a similar path. My last large car was a 2016 RS7. The previous car was a 2013 Panamera GTS. I loved the RS7 power but preferred the handling of the Panamera.
I've been an Audi fan for many years, have owned 13 since 1985 including multiple S4 Avants. The RS6 would be my perfect car as well, but of course -- not in the USA.
So I combined the attributes of all, and now have a Panamera Turbo Sport Turismo. I'm strongly drawn to the brand new Sport Turismo GTS as well, but I'm afraid horsepower is, well... addictive!
You'll find that you don't have the punch of the RS7 in your new car, but except for passing a truck on a 2-lane road that will never be an issue. The Panamera will handle better and is, overall, a more luxurious and comfortable car.
Beautiful. I have a Panamera now and owned Audis for a decade. If I was to go back it would be for an RS7 but it seems like the Panamera is a winner in many ways.
Another long term Audi fan here w/ quattro's in the stable since 1985. Wife still drives an S5 V8 but mine have all surrendered to the Panamera. Hope you enjoy your beautiful new ST!
I went from a 2014 RS7 to my current ride, a 2012 Panamera Turbo S. The RS7 has a slightly different power delivery, but whereas the RS7 was always on the verge of being out of control, the Panamera is always under control, connected and just feels better at all times. Perhaps in a straight line race the RS7 might have a little edge in some cases, but driving isn't just about 0-100 speeds, and when you're talking .1-.2 10ths of difference......and giving up some driving manners and the interior....steering.... (not that the RS7 has a bad interior it doesn't and I loved the diamond seats). The Porsche is put together better, and it actually costs less for brakes and general maintenance believe it or not.
When you get to the level of these cars, is kind of splitting hairs as they all have their own +/- 's. I liked the RS7 a lot, but I don't miss it at all.
