Default Bad Cat Convertor — replacement options

So got the diagnostics on the check engine light. Apparently the P0431 code is for a bad cat (stealership quoted $2800).

Are there any aftermarket options? Any universal cat options? I just don’t see myself spending that type of money on one cat converter.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

don't know what year or motor you have, but here is one that will work with a 2010 V8 (because that is what I have) you can see what else they have..

https://www.carid.com/2010-porsche-p...er=1&sub-model[Liter]=4.8L

can't see installation being $2k

somewhere out there, you can find O2 sensors with built in cats - assuming you live in a state that doesn't do smog checks - then you can just run a straight pipe

You can ignore the possible bad cat and get the fabspeed mini cat to satisfy the CEL.

An even cheaper option is to just get O2 spacer from vibrant and adjust it until the car is happy.

that's O2 I was thinking of, had run across it while surfing and couldn't remember where I had seen it.
the O2 spacer is a pretty neat trick, hadn't seen that one before.
Thanks for the links Cacciatore
