yes the mount covers part of the sunroof to prevent it from sliding back, the tilt function still works.

So it’s the Mount not the bar? Maybe new Thule bars solve the issue? Have to investigate.

yes it's is the padded rubber block looking part of the end of the clamp that sits on the edge of the sunroof like it is proposed covering the sunroof to prevent it from opening

You will always get an overpriced old rack branded from ANY car manufacturer...

Compared to the Vector that box looks...well meh

Or their new mounting bars and rack

That rack is way to small to be of any use - it will only hold 3-4 pair of skis and 185 cm max length. Completely worthless unless you don't carry much of anything.

Yes, it's the Thule mounts that prevent the panoramic roof from opening.
Thule Vector box is a nice piece of equipment. It holds quite a lot, I find.

I read somewhere Thule tests the roof boxes to autobahn standards (200 kph). Aside from the ~25% mileage hit, the Motion XL box I have on OEM roof rack is rock solid and unnoticeable up to rapid passing speeds.
