Experience wirh wraps

Those of you who have had wraps done, what has been your experience with them? how do they hold up?

Ball park figures to get it wrapped.

I'm hunting for a car, but have found the desired color rather hard to come by, was thinking I might be able to get a good car with the buttons I need and then get it wrapped to the desired color.

Wrapping the car may be beneficial. You just have to know that a wrap isn't paint and you'll need to be a bit more delicate with a wrap as opposed to paint.

hmmm, I don't know. Most people who gets wraps either A) get a clear wrap to protect the existing paint, or B) get an unusual covering such as a matte or stainless mimic. Not sure what your luck will be with trying to match an existing paint color. My initial guess is that it will lose something in the translation.

I seriously doubt they could match a specific color, however I have seen several that would be a good approximation or at least close enough or even better than the factory color.
I made the mistake of showing my 9 year old daughter the color fade wraps LOL, so she thinks I should do something like that...

I found a nicely loaded 4S that is White, a less than ideal color from a wrap point of view, but a great deal, I would be happy driving a white car around for awhile

My car was initially white and I wrapped it In Satin Black.. Good choice as far as I'm concerned. Door jams and stuff are still white but you won't know until I open up the doors.

I saw you pictures earlier, looks great. how's it holding up (I know you haven't had it that long)
Do you mind saying what it cost you? Where did you have it done?

Ran me approx $4500.. It's holding up well since I'm anal about car maintenance. Got a scuff on the hood from my nails.. I'll see if I can have my detailer get it out. So far so good though. It looks great.
