Hi,

Just tried to identical Panameras. One with 21" wheel and Pirelli tires, and one with 20" wheel and Michelin Acoustic tires.
Pretty scary how much difference there was when it comes to road noise. The Michelins and 20s was like a flying carpet.

Any other with some experience?

The only thing that's holding me back is the look.

ya - I don't like the look of 21's either. In fact, would prefer 19's. My car has 20's - it rides well, but there isn't much sidewall - these are 30 series tires.

I am just the opposite! I really don't like the look of the 19" wheels at all and I find the 21's the best looking by far. I guess that is why they offer three different sizes; everybody has different opinions. Regarding the tire noise I can only comment on the 21" wheels with the Pirelli PZero tires. For me I didn't notice much tire noise at all even when driving in E mode. Does depend on the condition of the road somewhat though and speed. At high speeds (80-90 mph) there is some road and wind noise to be sure, even in E mode.

I agree with Saratoga - 21's are the only wheels that actually fit the car well. I have them, and they ride like a dream. Well worth the extra expense for both looks and ride.
