Default Panamera turbo 2018 mud flaps/splash guard removal?

Hi guys, would appreciate some feedback on the topic. I personally don’t like the mud flaps/splash guards hanging in front of the front and rear tires.

Is there a way to remove them on the mk2 models and would removing them cause any unexpected issues such as the vehicle having unique aerodynamics that the absence of the guards would otherwise cause a lot of debree kick up/stone chips against the side panels/body?
Would their removal void any warranty as well?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated

thank you

Reduces aerodynamic drag. See this article.

Oh I see I had no idea they were there for performance. Always thought they were there for preventing debris kick up. How come I don’t see many Mercedes have them other than on the rear tires for example?

My M-B S600 had them all four wheels, My wife's Chevy Volt has them at all 4 corners as well. (trying to eek out the battery range).
