New ‘features’ 2018 Panamera

My 2017 Panamera 4S is just under 8,000 miles and was delivered 3-14-17. What has been said earlier about the PDK "settling in" is what I have experienced, and it now operates smoothly. I have had several electrical and instrument issues that have been addressed (sunroof shades not operating, tailgate foot operation sensor replaced, memory setting issues, loss of instrument cluster customization settings, standard cruise control just not operating (Porsche replaced the whole instrument cluster twice on this one) and the heated steering wheel has a mind of its own. The automatic center a/c vents are really very frustrating (still) and absolutely unnecessary. Give me vents I can control manually!
I came out of a BMW 650i Grand Coupe, and almost everything about the Porsche is superior. Even though the Panamera and the 650i are roughly the same exterior size, interior of the Pano is larger, more airy, more comfortable and far superior. Getting in/out of the Pano does not include hitting my head almost every time like the BMW did. The BMW did have better cup holders! The Porsche cup holders want to grab the cup/can and not want to let go. And their placement is awkward to reach while driving. No comparison in handling and fun to drive factors, which is why I got the Pano in the first place.
All that said, I would make the same choice again!

Having had a 2015 S-E Hybrid I loved all the buttons, it was weird with the touch screens, but I am used to it now and have a decent layout on the home button so its more aesthetic to my mind.
I agree with above the vent control is frustrating, I have centre vent on home screen, but cant think when I have had it open.
I has an issue with all my touch screen freezing up a week or so after getting the car, but in the end I drove on and 15 mins later it seemed to reboot itself and has behaved since.
Current issue is that it often drops the surround view from the steering wheel programmable button. Frustrating when you want to do a quick check where curbs or lines are in a parking place.
- I came out of a 640d M Sport for my S-EH in 2015, I was looking at buying an M6, my biz partner said try the Panamera, so I did, and its a different league to BMW, and I seriously loved my 640d and was a big contributor to a BMW forum in UK.

Anyone been able to get the Connect App (not Car Connect) to work using an iPhone and 2018 Panamera?

Our main key stopped working, car wouldn’t start, then tried the spare key and it worked. Next day the original key started working. Took it to the dealer anyway, ran diagnostics and they decided to order new keys (from Atlanta).
it’s not the worst, but minor issues like these and reading other thread like how someone’s dash just abruptly stopped working does worry me. These issues or alike never happened with our S550.

1 month ownership update:
I contacted the dealer, turns out I knew more than they did. Had to walk them through Link/Data Device Manager functions. They admitted the car ‘too new, we’re learning ourselves...’ ‘opened ticket’
a month after delivery, still no Homelink, CarPlay is hokey pokey, turns itself on/off when it feels like it, and can’t be disabled like in previous PCM versions.
Getting used to PDK quirks, works best in Sport mode, less shifting/hunting.
Start/Stop is still annoying.
Semi-Figured out climate controls, less misting now.
Drives, turns and stops like a Porsche. Love that.
