2017 Launch Car vs 2018 new build
Great forum and looking for some opinions. Looking at a Turbo and debating between a new build or a 2017 with less than 100 miles.
Not that familiar with Porsche discounts and pricing - the 2017 is appx 14k off and being told that discounts on a new 2018 would be about 3%.
Does it it make sense to consider the 17 and at what discount?
Any known issues with the launch cars?
thabks in advance.

$14K off a launch car at this point is weak. They've been on a the lot for close to a year. i was offered early in the fall close to $20K off, or 12%, without even pushing that much. I didn't like the launch car bc most don't have sport chrono, sports exhuast, and massage/cooled seats. I assume you can prob do much better now with them needing to move them out and make room...

I just took delivery of my built/ordered 18 Turbo and I was given a discount above what you mentioned, dealers are just trying to get you to get into the vehicles they need to get rid of. When I was looking to buy locally places practically laughed at me trying to get a discount and many kept saying they had great deals on the floor and etc although I would have been able to pay cash for custom build if I wanted as long as I could get a discount. Ended up finding a dealer 600 miles away that gave me no problems.
I would have probably only saved 2,000 tops by getting a 17 compared to my 18 build but the big difference is that the 17 likely has random things added to increase the value that I don't care about like the side and rear blinders, the other sound system besides bose, and not having all the sports packages for example

Guys.....with the 2018 builds being very restricted now (won't get a new car until late summer at the earliest is what I have been told), what should I expect in terms of discounts on a 2017 Porsche CPO with 3400 miles on it? Thinking 20% or higher....correct?

If the 2017 fits your needs and its a nice color combo, so go for it and have fun starting tomorrow! 100 miles is like nothing!
