PDCC Needed in 970.2 GTS?
Hello all,
This is my first post, so I’m sorry if I’m breaking any etiquette here. I’m currently looking to buy a 970.2 GTS, and I’ve heard great things about PDCC. Unfortunately, when I run any GTS through Vinalytics, most aren’t optioned with it. I’ve also yet to see a CPO car, which I would really like, with PDCC. I understand that it’s very good, but to those of you who have driven both, is it necessary? In other words, do you think even a non PDCC-equipped car would tackle B-roads adequately? I don’t intend on ever taking a car like this to a race track, so I just want to know if the car can still handle itself and be sporty and engaging to drive on curvy roads without PDCC. Any insight is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Had a 970.1 without PDCC and a 970.2 with PDCC. It Improves the ride a bit (reduced sway bar stiffness so suspension is more independent)and corners flat. I wouldn’t say it was needed but it does improve performance.

This thrad has some info that may be useful to you:
971 - Talk to me about PDCC and comfort, forget dynamics for a second. - Rennlist - Porsche Discussion Forums
I ordered on my 4S. I also ordered Burmester stereo which many said wasn't worth it. I'll know more when I get my car. My son has an '18 4S without PDCC so we will have back-to-back driving comparisons. Cost $5k to find out. Given the rarity of PDCC I expect finding a car to drive will be challenging. There are a number of threads with discussion on PDCC. Those who have it, seem to say they would not get a car without it.. My dealer drove cars back-to-back with and without and said absolutely to get it. If you never had it I expect you will not miss it. As comparison, on my other car ( a 2 dr. non-Porsche sports coupe), many said the higher optioned model with more performance features wasn't better. They were wrong. I didn't want to go without as I intend to keep the car for some years. Will you keep the car for any length of time? If it's a couple year flip then maybe go without.
