Waiting time for a factory ordered car

Waiting time for a factory ordered car
I am in Vancouver, Canada and placed an order to a 2018 Panamera Sport turismo 4 hybrid with just about most options at the end of July. I haven't heard anything from my dealer when the car is going to be built and deliver. Can anyone give an educated guess? Is there any way to push the dealer to expedite this?

Very hard to tell - do you know whether the your order filled a specific allocation of the dealer? What is the vehicle status right now? The dealer has a specific code to tell that part with associated dates - for example:
V200 - Delivery data determined
V350 - Vehicle fixed
V260 - Vehicle entry to body shop (CP 0.0)
V270 - Vehicle exit production (CP 7.8)
V300 - Vehicle completion (CP 8.0)
V331 - Enty port Emden
....
In my experience there is not much flexibility in making any timeline adjustments once the order is in the system.

Dealer must have an actual allocation before he can place your order.
IF he has an allocation and places your order, he will be able to give information including the "freeze" date; manufacturing date; and delivery date (estimated, of course) for your vehicle.
If he can't give you that information, he hasn't actually placed the order yet. The act of you ordering your car from the dealer is an entirely separate act from your dealer actually ordering the car from Porsche.
I placed my order with my dealer for an '18 Panamera Turbo Sport Turismo in July, as soon as they had an available allocation. I was given a freeze date of early September and a delivery date (Southern California) of 12/22/17. In late August, prior to the "freeze" I went in and changed a few details. They updated my paperwork and informed me the delivery date had changed to 2/2/18. AARRGGGH!!!
But that's how the process works.

I think all the sport turismo's were delayed till next year due to EPA hold up. I ordered my Turbo in April and it was originally supposed to be an October Delivery but it's gradually been pushed back repeatedly till January now

Thank you all. The dealer has no information. The last time he said is that they may get to know the allocation toward the end of the year and probably won't deliver until march or april 2018.

Originally going for the sport turismo hybrid but my dealer did not have an allocation and they said that will happen next spring. I went with the standard turismo since they had an early November delivery, however I receive a letter from PCNA about a four weeks delay and they provided me an additional free service as compensation. Porsche seems to be good to me but why they are holding my gt3 allocation is strange. I did call corporate and the lady said I see you have a gt3 on order. I have a feeling history will repeat again. I was offered a gt3 or gt4 but not both.

GTR - In Vancouver, Canada, we only have one dealer and we have to stuck with it. When I placed my order, I was asking to see if there is any discount or free gift, but my salesman was arrogant and said this car is in high demand and there is no reason for giving any discount at all!! And after I placed ordered two months ago, I have heard nothing from them.......

It's an additional year of maintenance plan, the first one is free for all 2018 Panameras and that would mean a total of two year of free maintenance. In my case just in time to upgrade to a GTS version before new tires . I think Porsche already planned this out and see right through us.

Your salesperson should be able to tell you all the dates. In Vancouver, you probably don't get discounts on ordering new Porsches since cars are in high demand. At least I did not when I ordered my Macan S.

For the hybrid I recall he was saying they will get one next year and that is all he know and advise me not to wait since I was ready to upgrade my Macan GTS.
