What do you think of the 2018 Camero ZL1 1LE

Great value for the money and a different flavor to your Porsche for sure. If you have a GT3 already go with the ZL1 1LE as the GT350R is closer to a GT3 than a monster good handling muscle car that you can modify and play with to make more power down the road.

My car did over heat the first time out because it threw the belts for some reason after running most of the day and it is a track pack car. I was very impressed comparing it to my gt3, cr has great potential with a little set-up.

So I used to own a Riley built World Challenge Camaro and it was insane...I loved it...so easy to drive, massive power, eats up the curbs...and parts can be bought for the "normal" stuff at a local auto zone!'
I've watched the GT4 Camaro ripping at the track and it's a beast.
I think this car will be amazing.

They are an awesome bargain for what you get. I don't care for the FPC GT350. There is a reason they buried the GT350RC out back. FPC could not stand the rigors of racing and was a maintenance nightmare.
Have a few 1LE's running with us at NASA. They are fantastic track cars.
Why do you think they are running a Boss 302 drive train (albeit with 5.2 aluminator) in the new Mustang GT4?
The new Z28 should be even better. I don't care for supercharging for track applicaitons. Any Monkey with a brick on his foot can go fast on a straight. Its braking and corner speed that make a real driver. I always get a chuckle with novice guys showing up with 700 hp cars at the track thinking they will automatically be the fastest out there only to get smoked by 400 hp cars.

Yep. Got a friend who just picked on up. It's nuts how fast this car is for the money. Sure, it's heavy, but you can stuff so much tire under it, who cares.
The no-lift shift is pretty nifty, and the E-diff puts down power really well. My buddy did some mod to get more front camber up front (about -2.9) and says that's about perfect tire wear for the track. About 1.8 rear. Other than that, brake fluid and some pads. Not to mention, you can literally sit in your car after the session and watch the entire video of it with data overlay. It's perfect for chasing a buddy around and getting his hooning on video.
At our home track, we benchmarked it against my well sorted E92, which has Bilstein clubsports, sways, bushings, etc. etc.....bone stock motor, and weighs 200lbs less, but the Camaro is still easily faster on an outright lap on RE-71R square 295 size setup......while I'm on sticky 265 Trofeo-R's.....car be fast. Real fast. 315's will easily fit.
They did have two winged prototypes of the ZL1 1LE's at NCM Motorsports park a couple weeks ago, they look badass, but I have a hard time believing they won't act similar to Z06's for track use.
Once again, NA simply just works better for track cars.
