M235R are pretty awesome factory built race cars ... They put 6sec or so on M2 depending who is driving of course

Since this thread continues to be active...looks like some bigger brakes coming with the M2's face-lift...

Hopefully Carbonstructure seats show up as an option...

Looks like it is the M2 CS, an M2 with the S55 in it. This could be quite a car.

A friend of mine will be poking around PWC in one of these. Excited to see how it will do.

Very well may be the CS. But with an S55 and CCB, it will probably be a $70k 2-series. Methinks diminishing returns...part of the M2's attraction, at least to me, is its E46 M3 price from 15 years ago...

Great time! What kind of lap times did you do in your .2 GT3 at ACS?

thanks!. Never took the .2 GT3 there and when I owned it was a long time ago at my first track day! So I sucked 😂

But so far in the M2

Buttonwillow 1:57:2 w/ KW / Re71
took it to BW day after I got it 100% stock and ran 2:00:4 It's capable!

Autoclub Speedway 1:49:6
which was my 4th time there.

My best are are from my Viper TA which I recently sold
BW - 1:53 on pzero corsa
WSIR 1:28 on pzero corsa
Never took it to ACS sadly. Really wish I had.

Ah too bad.

I had a brand new M2 zip past me at Sonoma this past weekend while in the RS. It was pretty wet out and I was being very conservative (I hate walls). Went to see the driver after the session only to learn he was a very young Pirelli Challenge driver. I was amazed how fast he was lapping in the wet. Can't wait to try one. Looks to be a great car.

The rain, definitely something i need more practice in! Only thing with the M2 is you literally hear nothing. Not much engine sound or exhaust. You can feel the torque but it's sort of like where's the engine? Exhaust? Is this a tesla? 😂😂

Gotta add a downpipe to add more power and some noise

The Sport Cat Downpipe is definitely where the power is. Muffler Bypass Exhaust has no noticeable effect on performance like the downpipe does. Sport Cat adds some sound level and turbo sound, bit more aggressive overall. Nothing like adding the MB to the equation though, that combo is the golden ticket on this car haha. Here is a video of the Sport Cat Downpipe alone and then another one of both. Much better burble/overrun and exhaust note with the addition of the MB.

I can definitely help you fix that lol

im sure that will add a little. But from what I've read and seen tested it's not like 335 or M3/4 where you do sport cat or delete and tune and make tons of power. From what I've seen you need 93 oct to make power with a tune otherwise you're just making more heat. Not sure the 15ish whp is worth while to delete the cat and deal with possible warranty issues. Now I can track the **** out of it and not worry
