Thoughts on M2

Have a manual M2 with the Dinan package as my daily. Great car with plenty of space. My only gripe is the interior is not as luxurious as say a 4 series, but we know this was intentional to differentiate the 2 series from the 4 series.

Just got mine about a month ago and love it. I have owned an E36, E46 and E92 M3 and really dislike the new M3/M4. Very numb feeling. The M2 is a blast to drive and feels like a more modern E46. Love it as a daily.

I have about 3500 miles on mine now, i highly recommend it as a DD. I put a Fabspeed sportcat downpipe on it, it added some lower end pop and some nice volume. it's now louder than my stock GT3. I can fit my kids in the backseat and golf clubs in the trunk. It's been 20 years since i've had a manual, and it reminded me how much fun it is.
My only gripe is the interior. It's OK, just not the greatest materials. I wish that BMW offered an interior upgrade package, but it's a first world problem, so I'm happy with the car!

Going to take mine to NJMP Lightning tomorrow for the day. I am pretty sure it will be ok at the track vs the GT3/4, but itching to try it out. It's a great daily and love the shorter wheelbase and turbo torque vs the E92 M3.

Like others here, mine has turned into my DD. It's become my go to car on my daily commute. Have done 6,000 kms since delivery on April 16th. Hardly touched my GT3, GTS or Macan Turbo in 6 weeks. I am now looking forward to the 400 HP M2 CS next year.
It's a great road car but on the track it is miles slower than a GT4 and won't see which way a Gt3 went...but it is still fun because it is such a well balanced car.

Also looking at the M2 but I added the new RS3. It got 4 doors for those extra passengers. The interior of the RS3, I think, is better that the M2. Waiting list for both but leaning towards the RS3.

Not a fan of Audi interiors. I'm often amazed at how reviewers continue to give MB and Audi kudos for their interior work when BMW and Lexus do it better consistently as of late.
RS7 interior. Dated. Door panels plastic/rubber for a six figure car. New MB C63 AMG. Horrible. Gauges and buttons horribly dated. Hard plastics abound. All that silver accenting, junk. It doesn't stop there. Even with their ceramic option, MB stuffs sliding calipers in the rear. wtf. I've seen this done on Audi RS cars, too. gtfo.
At least BMW continues to remain stark and simple. My point being, I'd pick the M2 over the RS3 - you'll also see much better resale if you care about that sort of thing regarding toy purchases.
BTW, are the M2s made in the USA or legit made in Germany?

2 series built in Laipzig IIRC, def not US. As for resale, Audi RS models generally outperform their comparable M cars, possibly because of much lower production volumes. No idea what will happen to the RS3.

huh...back from the dead so I'll add a little input. We've got about 2500 miles on our '20 M2 Competition now and it's a great every day car. Reminds me alot of my e46 M3 in that it does everything very well, might not be outstanding in any one category but it's really really good all around.
My wife daily drives it, with the manual box, and has zero complaints. IF I really wanted to be picky the interior is a little underwhelming form a quality of materials standpoint, but I think that means it'll age better than our BMW's of old.
