I'm with Jimmy on this one, the GT Porsche stir more emotion and are more involving to drive but each to their own.

I would be curious to hear any further thought on the M4 GTS. Used prices seem reasonable if you can find an honest dealer to sell you one at their listed price.
I was also wondering how the water injection system handles freezing temperatures. Obviously, you would us all the water up but would there be residual water that could freeze and cause damage.
These cars seem relatively rare, sound awesome when desired, and suggest some value for long term owners.

i have a M4 GTS. it's fabulous value as a track car at the current sub-90k prices with near-new mileage. it wasn't worth $132k new, but if you like M4's, the value of the package components makes it a no-brainer at 90k. my only gripes are the suspension is too stiff for the street, the throttle in sport+ mode is so touchy it's infuriating (but sport+ mode changes the whole engine mapping so you'l want to use that mode), and the steering lacks feedback and precision. but in absolute terms it's an excellent car. gets a lot more attention than my Porsches also, for some reason.
but compared to the GT4? the GT4 has sharper and more agile handling, steers better and sounds better. Porsche also does a better job of making suspensions that are compliant on the street, but give up nothing on the track. i'm fortunate enough to own both, but if i could only have one, i'd keep the GT4.
i live in Florida, so i can't comment on what happens to the water injection system in freezing temps.

Except the GT3 was much faster on every other track. GT3 was something like 3 seconds faster at Laguna seca. And, the 991.2 Carrera S on summer tires was faster than the M4 GTS despite being on plain summer tires. Bmw makes some good cars and the M4 GTS was good, but it’s not nearly as good as the 991.1 GT3 which was several years old when the M4 GTS came out. Now, the 991.2 GT3 obliterates the M4 GTS even more.
