I don't believe their test results. Their acceleration differences are far too large to be real for even that much of a difference in rotating wheel mass.

There must be something else going on with the conditions, overall tire diameters, or something.

Those are starting to look like a good deal. I think mustangs / fords are better respected in general so I wouldn't expect to see drops as big.

A M6GT350 member from Kansas is selling his new one due to health issues... it's Oxford White w/ Blue OTT Stripes and with Track Pack. http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=42988

It would look like this:

In addition and as expected, Ford finally released official news yesterday to dealers:
"Ford Motor Company has issued a bulletin to its dealerships informing that production of the latest Shelby GT350 Mustang will continue for the 2017 model year."

From http://www.mustang6g.com/?p=8343:
"Estimated production numbers for the 2015-2016 GT350 have been all over the map since official numbers have not been released, but there are vague indications that dealers have been told an estimated 3,600 GT350 Mustangs will have been built for the first two model years.

Unsurprising perhaps, considering only 137 GT350s (37 of which were R-spec) were built for the 2015 model year and production of the 2016 GT350 has seen a few delays. However, with over four months before the 2016 model year job last date (June 1), we may find that Ford gets closer still to the approximately 5,000 GT350 vehicles many had expected through the 2016 model year."
There is no word yet if the GT350 will be produced for MY2018 and beyond.... plus so far all Ford Performance approved dealerships have certification only through 2017 for the GT350 model.

GT350R's apparently are not made in the winter months. None available anywhere I believe at this point. Those wanting multiple R's and joking about group buys are just that----joking.

Take a deep breath and hold it. Unless you are good with a dealer(really good), or are on a list at MSRP(unlikely), you are simply dreaming. These will be just as, or more difficult to get than the GT3 when it came out.

If you just want the base model thats doable, but not the R.

You DO realize that the "high level contacts" or dealers are the ones getting them first, and then scalping them also correct? Just as they are still doing with the 2015 models?

^Exacttly. And non-R 2016's are still getting a premium of typically 5-10K over sticker although some very few lucky ones snagged it at or near msrp. I know 2 very recently that sold for msrp and 1.5k over msrp... when it was revealed in the forums, it was literally sold within a few mins.

So many are seriously looking and immediately ready with funds once these deals are announced via web or word of mouth....

I get a call a week trying to sell a GT350. All without track pack and asking 20k over. I'll wait this out.

Thats what I hear, thats why I will settle for a regular gt350. And to be honest I don't care to much what I beat on at a day to day basis. R or not.

Never even looked at a Mustang before the gt350. But, there is something with that flat crank engine that excites me. Drove one around christmas time. Only delivery miles on it so not much of a "test". Its a huge and heavy car so will probably be a good DD and work extra at Sebring during the weekends.
Very good friends with a small Ford dealer owner. Next allocation is mine.

Indeed joking. But everyone needs to chill. This is isn't Porsche. Ford will make as many as they think they can sell and then some. Just relax and enjoy the show for now.

If you're really bored go back and read this thread: https://rennlist.com/forums/991-gt3-...port-park.html
