Isn't that a .2 GT3?

Congrats on the GT350. Can't wait to hear your thoughts.

Don't know. Never driven a .2 GT3. Maybe that is what I am missing.

So far in the 10 miles I have driven the car I like. Would love to tell you guys more but after our unusually warm fall winter arrived the day after I got my car. Not too excited to drive around on super sports in the 20's. Maybe next week. It is killing me. I waited for a year for this car and now it just sits in the garage.

Just get some scotch and sit in the front seat and admire the alcantara and new car smell. That's what I would do anyway.

Best pictures i've seen to date...exact specs I ordered. http://www.kengrodyfordorangecounty....CA/vd/32134315

And all these guys want to complain about the markups on the 991 GT3 RS - this right here is a near 300% ADM.

Not ridiculous at all. Only 50. Yes 50(track pack non R) made for the entire year of 2015 as part of a limited production 50th anniversary run. True collectable, second only to the 37 R's made in 2015. Combo of anniversary model, vintage color scheme, track pack, and flat plane crank brand new engine is very much in demand. These are like hens teeth to find, even now.

I own multiple Shelbys and a Boss and involved in Shelby and Mustangs for over 25 years.

I don't see any collectible value in the '15 over the '16 and beyond. Same car. Period. There will be roughly 15 thousand GT350s and 5 thousand R's over the course of production.

Only 1500 Boss LS's. Thats the collector car buy right now not a GT350 at $131K. The only one making out with collector car appreciation at that number is the dealer.

GT350 review. Finally able to put a few miles. Still in break in so nothing past 6000 rpm and temps in low 40s

Engine is fantastic. Not quite as tractable below 2000 as my Boss but above that the car moves. Sound is incredible.

Ride handles rough stuff much much better than Boss but not quite with as much aplomb as my GT3 did. Still pretty good though.

Transmission is fantastic. One of the best manuals I have driven. Be interesting to compare to GT4 in a few months.

Handling: Still havent been able to hammer it but really sticks. If it holds up to track days I think the handling will be really good and make a good track car.

Heads up shift light is really cool. Interior is much improved but still no Porsche.

-Engine in my opinion a tie with GT3 (991) both feel special
-handling still formulating opinion but I suspect GT3 will win based on smoothing off edges
-ride GT3 wins
-looks toss up
-transmission a tie horses for courses

GT350 is a bigger heavier car and feels such at slow speeds but begins to feel much more nimble as speed builds. It is no GT3 but I did not expect it to be. In short it is half the cost but is much more than half the car. YMMV

Nice review, impressive to hear about the transmission being so good

A gt350R is a real track weapon.. Will wait until the hype dies down and people stop "collecting" them

I really don't care because if I get an "R" I will be daily driving that beast. R's are only forecast to be 500/year and a ratio of 1 R to 10 base models so not at all sure where you are coming up with 5k R's. I don't at all see that happening, unless they really open it up at the end of the cycle, but definitely not for the first few years. They literally are keeping the dealers in the dark about R allocations until the last second. So if you are feeling this is a 3 year run, that would be 15k base, but only 1500 R models not 5k by any means.

To each his own, but thats not what sources are saying so far.

Enjoy your cars!!!
