Could as big as a 100% increase with the twenty something crowd- up to 10 kids from 5.
I read that there are less 16/17 years olds today are getting their license when they turn 16/17 than in the past.

Modern manuals are so much easier to drive than old ones. I'm not too old, but everything I own is a manual. Managed all day LA traffic in a manual, no problem in a late model golf or civic. In the manual cars I drove when I was younger, it would have been a bit more of a pain.

Well, that is great, as it means there's hope for my grandson, though it is a family tradition to teach each generation how to drive beginning with a manual. I started on a 3 speed on the column, my son began on a 5 speed, and my grandson will learn on a 6 speed ( unless Dad teaches him on his first car that he still has and it is a 5 speed ).

I hope so. I love driving manual in about anything except highway traffic. Especially the newer ones, they will hold the brakes to help you not roll back on a steep hill. My nephew (14) wants me to teach him. Maybe I will on the right car but right now I'm trying to extend the life of an old clutch.
