RS Cosworth Stateside
Thought I would share my project I have been working on with you all.
Purchased this late build 1993 Ford Escort RS Cosworth with 98km original miles in early March in Spain and started the process of importing it into the states.
Long story short it arrived in Long Beach on July 7th and brought it home to Arizona.
Since bringing it home I have completely gone through the whole car and either upgraded or replaced all the major systems. Motor has been rebuilt, swapped stock interior for stock Red Recaro Hex seats, fuel system, power steering rebuilt, axels, wheels refinished, ect.
During the breakdown and rebuild we upgraded the injectors, MAP sensor, wastegate, and ECU to include anti-lag and Launch Control. Hoping to be around 350whp on 91oct. Should have it on the Dyno by early December. It’s been so much fun to learn about these cars and see peoples reaction on the street when they recognize the rear wing. My kids ask to ride in it over the 997.1 C2S which always makes me smile! If you are in AZ and see me around waive and say hello!
